Throughout May we’ve had a colorful cast of folks in the studio contributing to this project. We’re currently putting the final touches on this record and can’t wait to share it with you. DT & Co.

This project has been a formidable opponent, but thank based god we’re a dedicated faction of go getters. Vol.7: A brief introspection into the trails/errors of tone hunting.

February and March were intense and as busy as they possibly could have been, but it’s now finally starting to warm up and look like spring in Chicago. We’ve been putting are hearts and souls into this record and we’re going to start mixing it in May! Words can’t explain how excited I am about this album. I’ve had an amazing crew of engineers, producers, musicians, and friends backing me and I’m excited to share this new record with everyone.
In the winter of 2009 I released my debut full-length album “I WAS AN AEROPLANE” and consequently was offered a developmental deal in Rome, Italy which after five months ultimately fell through, but stood as an amazing experience. After loads of hard work and copious amounts of trans-Atlantic communication (and miscommunication) ”I WAS AN AEROPLANE” is to be distributed by Regrovvable Jazz Records in Rome, Italy in May. I’m looking forward to developing my new sound as a live entity, and have big plans for the summer! Get excited!
Love,
DT

March was a great month. We’re getting close to finishing the tracking for this record. More to come soon.

Last year in Rome I played a series of stripped down preformances about the city with jazz pianist Emiliano Pari. I was fortunate enough to have the folks at Gas Vintage Studios mix down a live take of “Blue” as performed at The Place.
The last two months have been extremely busy, but as productive and as exciting as ever. We’ve been getting some serious work done on this record and have worked with some amazing musicians and engineers, and we’ve been fortunate enough to bring our friends along for the ride.
Matt Loi and the folks at KCDA 103.1 were cool enough to post our interview and some video footage online check it out here: KCDA LIVE IN STUDIO
We had a great time playing at Gonzaga on Wednesday 2.16 and our friend Rachel Garcia from The Gonzaga Bulletin was sweet enough to write this article about our show.
